I've brought up the subject of human rights abuses against Palestinians by Israelis more than once to Christian friends & clergy, & their reactions shocked me. Their responses were like, "Who cares?" or that Palestinians were aliens from another planet who had no right to claim anything, as if they had no humanity at all. In this multigenerational conflict, there have been miscarriages of justice on both sides, but neither Western nor Middle Eastern political factions will bring lasting peace and order if they blindly side with one group over the other based on "religious reasons", which many of these political figures/groups do not seriously believe in anyway.
