A POSITIVE ACT WITH A POSITIVE MESSAGE

In shared global security self-interest, perhaps a coalition of India, USA, Pakistan, UK and others (some EU nations, perhaps even Russia would like to display itself in a positive light) with a UN mandate for Afghanistan to be designated a Global Protectorate aimed at saving 50%+ of Afghans (women and girls) from enslavement, would be a not so far fetched ethical action.

The Never Ending Story

He is distressed to the point of agony

We try to comfort him with food and drink

he cannot sleep and refuses to eat or drink

He says he lives in a country where

the people would rather pray

than reason

rather kill or die

than think or admit

they could be wrong

The War Against Women

I have no respect for The Competition of the Dispossessed (e.g Discrimination against us is worse than discrimination against them, genocide against us is worse than genocide against them). However, in human history the most discriminated against group has always been and continues to be Women. That fact is a constant. In almost every group discriminated against, the males in the group politically, physically, discriminate against the women in the group.

 

To estimate that over a period of many thousands of years, millions even tens of millions of children have lived with and witnessed violence against women doesn't seem to me to be an over-estimate.

 

There are 1,189 chapters in the bible. God wastes no time in revealing His cowardice, bigotry and lack of self-reflection. In Genesis Chapter three God makes it clear that everything wrong, toast falling butter-side down to the floor, you painfully knocking your leg against that coffee table, flood, contagion, plague, famine, war, everything bad ... is the fault of Woman. It is not surprising that those who invented the political weapon, God, have a vested interest in perpetuating that political lie. The struggle continues.

As predicted in the 2018 Government forecast that any Brexit would make the UK/GB worse off than staying in the EU, Brexit makes the economic effects of Covid-19 worse. Lacking courage to admit that exacerbates the tragedy (having already, by Brexit, stabbed our children in the back).

Woke To Being Politically Correct

Politically correct (as brought to general public view) began as merely pointing out that words have meaning and subtext; and that sometimes the subtext can be harmful.

 

For example:

The definition of Homo sapiens as "Mankind"; the harmful subtext being the exclusion of women and girls (approximately 51% of the human race).

The "Politically correct" suggestion was to use "Humankind" in order to describe Homo sapiens; thereby including and respecting women, girls, sisters, aunts, wives, grandmothers, mothers.

 

Outraged by the suggestion that they could be in error, UK right wing oligarch newspaper owners (exclusively male) through the pages of a predominantly right wing UK press e.g. The Sun, News of the World, Telegraph and The Express, re-defined "Politically Correct" to mean "lacking the courage to speak your mind".

 

Incidentally, a Google search reveals the current definition of "woke" as "Alert to injustice in society". To me that sounds like a worthwhile aspiration and more: a duty.

 

Be woke to the fact that definitions can be and often are weaponised. For example, the word "woke".
